Calendar-WS: Test Accounts

This document provides information about test accounts for testing Calendar-WS, a Web Services interface to CalAgenda, the shared calendaring system on the University of California, Berkeley campus.

The following test accounts are available immediately for your use. Please be aware that you will be sharing these accounts with all other Calendar-WS developers. To help avoid potential collisions, you might wish to select a period of time, in a past year or a future year, in which to read and write events during your testing.

All of these accounts are on a test Oracle Calendar server. In order to use these test accounts, you will need to access the test version of the Calendar-WS service via the hostname calendar-ws-test.berkeley.edu. This will allow you to freely test your Web Services client code without altering "live" calendars on the production CalAgenda service itself. None of the test accounts currently contain any actual calendar data associated with UC Berkeley affiliates, other than system-assigned holidays.

All of these test accounts have been given the initial password: calendar-ws
We request that you leave the passwords to these accounts unchanged for the benefit of other testers.

In addition to these shared test accounts, you can also request that new user and resource accounts be set up for your exclusive use on the test server.
