Checklist for Getting Started with CalAgenda

So your department has made the decision to use CalAgenda. Here's a step-by-step list with the details of how to sign up for the service.

1. Send e-mail to calagenda-management at berkeley.edu (no spam format).

The CalAgenda Service Coordinator will contact you to answer any questions, find out the number of users in your department, and get information on any calendaring data your department is currently keeping.

2. Try out CalAgenda for yourself

The CalAgenda Service Coordinator can create accounts for any department staff who will be responsible for supporting CalAgenda, so that they can begin to learn how to use the program. It's good to keep a step ahead of your users.

3. Identify Departmental Contact Personnel

Department personnel work closely with the CalAgenda service team to provide technical support and administrative services. Look at the roles that departmental personnel have in the CalAgenda service and decide who will be fulfilling those roles..

4. Submit Your Application

Download the form "Sign Up or Change in Departmental COA" (PDF file). Fill it out and return it to Client Services. See the Fax number on the form. Send an email to e-mail to calagenda-management at berkeley.edu (no spam format) when you send it, so we'll know to watch for it.

6. Set Up Your User Accounts and Resources

See "For CalAgenda Administrators" for instructions on setting up your user and resource accounts.

7. Set up your department's groups.
